Mid June brings the sweet taste of homegrown Strawberries. This popular fruit has drawn locals and visitors alike back to Orchard Market year after year.  Large, sweet, juicy Strawberries--excellent for freezing or jam making.  If you would like to pick your own, the patch is open to the public during mid-season.  Many of our customers love to share the harvesting experience with their children--from picking the strawberries to enjoying homemade jam.

The next crops to harvest are sweet and tart cherries.  Other summer fruits and vegetable include blueberries, honey rock melons, pickles, broccoli, cauliflower.  We are also harvesting several types of early Apples.

The many different varieties of Peaches from our farm keep this delicious fruit available from mid July until September.  Peaches are excellent for freezing and canning to be enjoyed all year.  Another customer favorite is Orchard Market’s famous “Extra Sweet” Sweet Corn. We pick our corn fresh every morning to maximize freshness and sugar content.

The fall Apple harvest has begun! We are picking both sweet eating varieties and tart apples for cooking. Extra large heads of cabbage and a number of Squash varieties are being harvested.    Michigan Honeyrock Melons are a sweet tasty treat. The Free Soil Restaurant and Bakery is featuring Homemade Deep Dish Peach Pies.  Lunch specials include a delicious Grilled Chicken & Apple Salad. New fudge flavors include Butter Cream and Cherry Cream.  We are now taking orders for the season's final frozen fruit and vegetable sale.
